I want to take a second to recommend a book. It’s called The Talent Code by Daniel Coyle.

In it, he talks about the neurological process of learning. You might already know a bit about this, and it shouldn’t be surprising that a huge key to success is repetition.

But this book influenced my teaching style because of all the examples. The author travels to several talent “hotspots” and dissects their approaches, one example being a prestigious music camp where they learn to play songs measure by measure.

If it doesn’t influence how you approach learning (which it should), maybe you can put it into practice when you are teaching or parenting. Let me know what you think!
