I thought I had shared this video on here before, but it must have just been on the MTS Facebook page. What I love about this video from Robert Gupta is his description of the transformation he saw in his “student”, a former Juliard pupil with paranoid schizophrenia.
It reminds me of a variety of clinical situations I’ve encountered in almost all of the settings I have served. Music can change an environment, in can change a person’s state, and it can open pathways to positive interaction and expression.
