Guitar Tips
Often in my Guitar Club, I curate lessons from of the great guitarists of our time. For example, I just added this one of Tommy Emmanuel: 4 Steps to Fingerstyle Guitar Technique.
Guitar Question
What are some songs you want to learn for your clients/patients but have a hard time reproducing with just acoustic guitar?
Waking Up
I’m an early bird, and I position my bed so the sun is in my face as it rises. I love waking up naturally with the sun. But as the nights get longer, it doesn’t quite work out like that. I also hate blaring alarm clocks that startle me awake. So for the last 5 years I’ve used a sunrise-simulating alarm clock lamp thingy for a much gentler, light-based wake up. And the “alarm” is birds chirping. I can’t find the exact model I have anymore, but this one on Amazon has good reviews.
Article I’m Reading
Ever heard of a forensic musicologist? Turns out it’s a pretty difficult gig, even with scientific advances. The question in THIS ARTICLE is whether or not Michael Jackson actually sang on all the songs on his posthumously-released record.
Warmly,
Matt

The songs I have had hard time reproducing have been some rap songs that have little melodic elements and mostly rhythmic. Additionally many jazz songs are challenging since guitar is not my primary instrument.
