Happy Friday! This is where I share 5 things I’m digging on each week. Some relate to music and music therapy, and some are just straight up random (but interesting, at least in my own humble opinion…). If you would like to have these delivered conveniently to your email inbox, please click here and subscribe!
Thanks to those of you who have been emailing kind words and recommendations for the blog. I appreciate you!
PRODUCTIVITY
Earlier this week, Rachel, Michelle, Kimberly, and I released a new podcast on the Music Therapy Round Table. It’s all about the pros and cons of working from home, as well as strategies for getting things done.
MUSIC
My friend and musical partner, An-Nhien, invited me to a show last night in Oakland and, as they say in The Town: “It was hella fun.” Before I moved to California, I did not know that San Francisco was referred to as The City and Oakland is The Town. Now you know! The artist was Allen Stone and his band was solid. Check out this rooftop performance of his song, Freedom.
ARTICLE I’M READING
The Melancholy Mystery of Lullabies. I’m really interested in The Lullaby Project. This is a great read, check it out.
BOOK
The Essential Scratch and Sniff Guide to Becoming a Wine Expert by Richard Betts, Wendy MacNaughton, and Crystal English Sacca. I’m preparing to wow everyone at the upcoming national conference with my refined palate… 😛
VOICE
Winter isn’t that far off. Some of you might have already had some snow. Yikes! Here are some winter vocal health tips from Berklee College of Music.
