Friday 5

By November 20, 2015December 4th, 2015Friday Five

Hellooooo!

It’s time for another Friday 5! For newcomers, this is where I share 5 things I’m digging on each week. Some relate to music and music therapy, and some are just kind of random (but interesting, at least in my own humble opinion…). Enjoy!

BOOK
The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do In Life And Business by Charles Duhigg. The title says it all, and the implications for our personal and professional lives are fun to think about/put into practice.

MUSIC
I usually put newer music into these posts, but today I’m feeling the groove of this old Bill Withers tune, All Because of You.

WATCH THIS
The Lady Lifers: A moving song from women in prison for life.

MUSIC THERAPY STORY OF THE WEEK
Healing Through Music from the Harvard Health Blog

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHT
I just returned this week from the national conference for the American Music Therapy Association, which was held in Kansas City, and it was ever the whirlwind I’ve come to expect. It was so good running into friends from many different places and periods in my life. The Music Therapy Round Table recorded the annual conference podcast, so keep an eye out for that to get the rundown. It was a pretty funny conversation 😉

Do you enjoy the Friday 5? If so, please forward to a friend and recommend that they sign up by clicking here.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful weekend!
